gingerbread house

The most magical things in life are the ones that spring up where you least expect them — in the case of Sandra Foster, this picturesque tiny Victorian cottage!

It is an absolute dream of Victoriana: stacks of Limoges china with tiny rosebud patterns; chandeliers dripping crystal; billows of tissue-paper garlands. I absolutely adore this in every way!

This is all the more impressive because she renovated the 9-by-14-foot cottage, an old hunting cabin, herself. The cost of renovating and furnishing it: US$3,000. Score! Inspiring, I love it!

naked art

Korean artist Kim Joon has been fascinated with tattoo culture ever since his days in the military as a young man. Since, he has taken his obsession into the fine arts realm, treating the human body like a blank canvas. Interestingly, his images are not created as one might expect. No physical painting of the models is actually involved.

Joon's process via Art Rad Asia:

"First he uses 3-D animation software to create the body or bodies he wants, and he constructs them. Then after building the 3 dimensional body, he works to get the image he really desires. Then, he grafts on the type of skin he desires—it could be animal skin, artificial skin, human skin. It could be skin of a leather bag or skin of a shoe. Any kind of texture- it could be a hard baseball. He uses this surface skin and grafts it onto the 3 dimensional image he created. This computer program is called 3-D Studio Max. It is the program used to create Shrek and other 3D animation films."

To learn more about his work, check out the rest of Art Rad Asia's interview with the artist.

Gosh, some people are just such talent-heads!

PEACE of CAKE

shorebreak art

"The Shorebreak Art of Clark Little" is nothing short of amazing. Getting inside, over and under 30-40 foot waves is no small feat, with bulky camera equipment, and a goal of finding the perfect angle, perfect lighting condition to create that perfect shot. Which they did repeatedly, flawlessly.

Clark Little is well known today as the foremost shorebreak art photographer (his art has been seen on "Good Morning America", and featured in a number of glossy magazines all over the world).

With exclusive permission of Clark Little Photography I publish today the rarely-seen photographs of Clark Little ....

Can't get the computer screen wide enough and HD TV capable enough to give justice to Clark Little's slices of glorious wave eye-candy? Well, now you can order his book, a coffee table-sized huge book, in fact arguably a "mother of all coffee table books": 182 pages, over 100 photographs, 12x12 size, weighing close to 7 pounds.

Make sure you own a coffee table big enough to do this book justice (you might have to move your coffee cup closer to the edge, but then you might be already seating at the edge of your seat - with excitement over Clark Little's fantastic images) ;-)

crystal tubs

Set your imagination free with the these whimsical bathtubs... Blissssss! One of my most necessary things in life so having an extraordinary one is a must!

The first tub you can purchase for a total of.. dun da da daaa.... $750,000 - ahem, totally worth it ;-) It is actually hewn from one gigantic crystal, imagine the enveloping amazingness this would produce!

The second tub is just glorious. No explanation needed. Look at the matching mirror! Im all for matching things.

The third tub is a collaboration with Fiona Winter Swarovski, this to-die-for bathtub is the first Teuco bathtub with the pure glamour of Swarovski crystals. The refined, perfect surface is enhanced with the addition of these fantastic crystal clusters. They emanate an intriguing organic feel, as if they had simply grown on the surface of the bathtub like an exotic, sparkling coral. Your guests will have to look twice, drawn to the unexpected, shimmering Swarovski crystals. Each bathtub is unique, made only to order. Have your own creation in mind? Contact Teuco or the Fiona Winter Studio in Milan for more information on their stunning bathtubs!!

One of Antoni Gaudí's masterpieces, and among Barcelona's main tourist attractions, Casa Milà (usually known as "La Pedrera", Catalan for "Stone quarry") is without a doubt an architectural wonder. skinny cow

Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwiches...delicious name and super cute cookie! I am pretty sure the 'low fat' benefits of these tasty treats are quickly offset by the fact that one can easily consume two or more a day. They have flavours such as... Mint and Cookies & Cream .. which sounds delightful! Thinking about them is making my mouth water...They arent in New Zealand yet however... Go check out the website for more tantalising treats such as the Truffle bar...Perhaps they should aptly rename their brand Not-So-Skinny-Cow I think...

aqua aura

Yummy positive vibes exude from these elegant light blue crystals that drop stunningly from your lobes.

LA gal Pade Vavra has found her niche in the crowded jewelry market. By focusing on the raw, natural beauty of the stones she works with, her pieces often look like they’ve been plucked straight from the sea, the moon, or the heavens. Whether it’s drusy, abalone, crystals, or pyrite, the earrings, rings, bracelets, and necklaces are elegant and edgy, a look that’s difficult to achieve. But one we’re sure glad she has mastered. attract yourself

The law of attraction always works... It is a very beautiful thing ;-)

For people who constantly have "bad luck" or keep on getting in negative situations... understanding the law of attraction will bring miracles in your life--I can promise that. It really boggles my mind to see people face a "hard" or "real" life but also don't believe life is magical due to the circumstances they are facing, the people around them, and their past experiences, society, the news and the media, etc... Life definitely doesn't have to be like that!

"Some people get confused about manifesting & the law of attraction, & think it is about being positive & thinking woo-woo thoughts & waving a stick of incense around. It really isn’t! Manifesting is about getting the universe to meet you halfway. It’s about doing the work while having faith that things will work out for the best. It’s about knowing that what you want is coming to you — but also knowing that you have to start the ball rolling. After all, if you just sit in your room thinking about what you want, but don’t get out there & tell anyone about it, or do some research, or take any real actionable steps, how will anything ever happen?"
-- Gala Darling

I am grateful to be alive on this planet. There really is no thing called a "coincidence" or "luck"! We really are the only person who can make ourselves happy, for we do all create our realities; no one else can do it for us.

You deserve the best, always! But only YOU can give yourself permission to accept the best. You always deserve everything abundantly; there really is no limit to what you get. You always deserve everything you desire--always! No matter where you come from, what you've experienced, what you've been taught, what mistakes you've made, what you've done, how impossible things seem, and who the people around you are like.... The point of power to change your life at this present moment is always here, NOW.

♥ May you turn your life around because you deserve to live the best. Always.

omg rocks!

Huge rocks in Death Valley mysteriously move really far, all on their own. No one knows how, because no one's ever seen it happen.

In Death Valley there is a dry lake bed full of really unusual rocks. The "Sailing Stones" often appear with tracks behind them indicating that they have moved or have been pushed somehow. This is strange because some of these rocks are SEVERAL HUNDRED POUNDS. Furthermore, they can't have been pushed by humans or animals because there are no accompanying human or animal tracks.

There are competing theories as for how these rocks could have been moved. Some scientists believe that strong gusts of wind must somehow move these rocks. Others have suggested that they move from the flow of melting ice. It's difficult to believe either theory since there is no consistent pattern of movement for the rocks. Rocks near each other have moved in completely different directions, their paths are winding and random, and some of the rocks don't move at all!

I discovered the Speak Nicely website a few days ago and it's just the cutest thing! They promote the idea of good manners in children by creating products with uplifting, positive messages.

From the Speak Nicely website:
All people have the power to use their speech to build up others, and to bring themselves up. With some simple messages we can work to make the world a better, more pleasant and peaceful place to live. Children have this power too; if we teach them to use their words well, they will be our beacons of light.

With messages like, "A Smile is Good" and "Honor People," how could you not be inspired? I'm a big fan of the Be Nice friendship bands. :) Super cute!
